An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a respected environmental consultancy delivering high-quality ecological services across Ireland.
This role offers flexibility in location, with options to be based in Cork, Dublin, Carlow, or to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage ecological contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery
Provide specialist ecological input across multidisciplinary projects
Plan and oversee ecological surveys and fieldwork
Prepare and implement Construction Environmental Management Plans
Deliver Appropriate Assessments, EcIAs, and EIAR Biodiversity Chapters
Produce technical reports to a high professional standard
Act as an expert witness where required
Maintain and develop client relationships
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Ecology or a related discipline
Minimum of seven years’ relevant consultancy experience
Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. CIEEM, CIWEM)
Strong working knowledge of Irish environmental legislation
Proven experience in ecological assessment and reporting
