An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural / Mechanical Setting Out Engineer to join a major energy project based in West Dublin. This is a high-profile development offering long-term work on a technically challenging and fast-paced site.
You will be responsible for setting out and surveying works across key elements of a large-scale energy project. The role will involve close collaboration with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate delivery of structural and mechanical installations. Ideal Candidate This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical setting out background, though candidates with strong structural experience who are keen to transition into mechanical works will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out precise setting out for structural and mechanical components
Interpret drawings, specifications, and site data
Ensure works are aligned with design and project requirements
Coordinate with site management and subcontractors
Maintain accurate records of surveys and site activities
Support quality control and compliance with project standards
Requirements
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on construction or energy projects
3-5 Years experience
Background in mechanical engineering (preferred) or structural setting out
Strong understanding of surveying equipment and techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
