About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Groundworks Foreman to join our growing construction team on a high-quality residential/commercial project in North County Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all groundworks operations on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all groundworks activities on site including drainage, foundations, kerbing, paving, utilities, excavation, and concrete works
Manage subcontractors, plant operators, and direct labour effectively
Ensure all works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and programme deadlines
Monitor daily progress and ensure targets are achieved
Carry out quality checks and ensure compliance with project standards
Work closely with Site Manager, Project Manager, engineers, and subcontractors
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Resolve on-site issues quickly and report progress daily
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Groundworks Foreman role
Strong background in residential and/or commercial construction projects
Excellent knowledge of civil works, drainage, and site preparation
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and meet tight deadlines
Good understanding of site drawings and specifications
Safe Pass and Manual Handling required
CSR/SMSTS (advantageous but not essential)
Full driving licence preferred
