We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established Irish engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior level Civil Engineer for their growing infrastructure team. Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Chartered Engineer status (Engineers Ireland or equivalent) or Near.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of roads and infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of roads, drainage, watermains, earthworks, and public realm infrastructure
  • Experience liaising with Local Authorities, statutory bodies, clients, and contractors
  • Excellent understanding of relevant standards and guidance including DMURS, DMRB, TII Publications, GDSDS, and Irish Water CoP
  • Experience managing projects through planning, detailed design, tender, and construction stages
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software and preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong project, client, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Familiarity with Public Works Contracts and contract administration
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience carrying out site inspections and responding to construction-stage queries and technical issues

Desired Qualifications & Requirements
  • 6 years’ plus  experience in civil engineering
  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-focused mindset with developing relationship management abilities
  • Proven ability to mentor junior staff
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Full driver’s licence (desirable)
