Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Chartered Engineer status (Engineers Ireland or equivalent) or Near.
Proven experience in the design and delivery of roads and infrastructure projects
Strong technical knowledge of roads, drainage, watermains, earthworks, and public realm infrastructure
Experience liaising with Local Authorities, statutory bodies, clients, and contractors
Excellent understanding of relevant standards and guidance including DMURS, DMRB, TII Publications, GDSDS, and Irish Water CoP
Experience managing projects through planning, detailed design, tender, and construction stages
Proficiency in civil engineering design software and preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications
Strong project, client, and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers
Familiarity with Public Works Contracts and contract administration
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Experience carrying out site inspections and responding to construction-stage queries and technical issues
Desired Qualifications & Requirements
6 years’ plus experience in civil engineering
Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Client-focused mindset with developing relationship management abilities
