The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical), you will take ownership of the commercial management of MEP packages across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects. Working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to project completion. Key Responsibilities
Manage all commercial aspects of MEP packages from pre-construction through to final account
Lead cost planning, budgeting and value engineering initiatives
Support procurement activities including tender analysis and contract negotiations
Oversee measurement, valuations and interim payment applications
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for new and existing projects, ensuring accurate pricing and commercial viability throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage variations, change control and contractual compliance
Deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost control
Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
Minimum 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry , at least 2 years Irish experience.
Strong MEP commercial experience, ideally within Data Centre, Energy, Industrial or other complex construction projects
Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or similar forms of contract
Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English with strong communication abilities
