The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical), you will take ownership of the commercial management of MEP packages across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects. Working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all commercial aspects of MEP packages from pre-construction through to final account
  • Lead cost planning, budgeting and value engineering initiatives
  • Support procurement activities including tender analysis and contract negotiations
  • Oversee measurement, valuations and interim payment applications
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for new and existing projects, ensuring accurate pricing and commercial viability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage variations, change control and contractual compliance
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cost control
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry , at least 2 years Irish experience. 
  • Strong MEP commercial experience, ideally within Data Centre, Energy, Industrial or other complex construction projects
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or similar forms of contract
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent English with strong communication abilities
