An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structural / CSA QS Estimator to join a well-established and growing engineering and construction business based in Arklow.
With a strong pipeline of industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects, this role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while developing your career within a supportive and ambitious organisation.
What You'll Be Doing As part of the commercial team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of tenders and project cost management activities. Responsibilities will include:
Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Structural and CSA projects
Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
Carrying out quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Supporting procurement and commercial evaluations
Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities during tender stages
Monitoring project costs and supporting cost control initiatives
Assisting with contract administration and project reporting
What We're Looking For
Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Previous experience in estimating, quantity surveying or CSA commercial roles
Strong understanding of structural and construction methodologies
Experience within industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects
Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Desirable
Tendering and procurement experience
Knowledge of Irish construction contracts and regulations
Cost planning and value engineering experience
Familiarity with AutoCAD or project management software
