A leading Irish engineering company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take on a key leadership role within their projects involving HV, MV, LV, and EV infrastructure works.
As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the planning, execution, commercial performance, and successful delivery of multiple ESB projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.
Experience managing ESB Networks projects and navigating ESB approval processes is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of multiple ESB infrastructure projects from inception through to completion involving HV, MV, LV, and EV infrastructure works.
Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and resource plans and ensure robust commercial management, including cost control, forecasting, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with ESB Networks standards and company procedures.
Liaise with ESB Networks, local authorities, subcontractors, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate project teams including engineers, site agents and commercial personnel and monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor management.
Support tender reviews, project planning, and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and governance requirements are maintained.
Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across all projects.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.
Requirements:
Minimum 8–10 years' experience managing utility or civil engineering projects.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering ESB Networks projects and excellent understanding of ESB Networks standards, procedures, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Strong experience managing HV, MV, LV, and EV infrastructure projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong programme planning and risk management capabilities.
Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
Experience obtaining and managing ESB approvals is highly desirable.
Full clean driving licence.
