We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Project Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering commercial and industrial decarbonisation projects. The successful candidate will support the development, design, and delivery of large-scale energy projects, working closely with engineering, project management, and sales teams to provide innovative and efficient technical solutions. Regular travel throughout Ireland with occasional travel to the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare conceptual project layouts using CAD and other relevant engineering software.
Optimise project designs to maximise technical performance and commercial value.
Analyse project data to assess resource requirements and project feasibility.
Develop high-level energy models and estimate annual energy performance.
Conduct pre-sales site surveys to assess site suitability and gather technical information.
Carry out post-sales site visits to ensure installations are completed in accordance with design specifications.
Support the preparation of technical proposals and project documentation.
Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
Promote health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all project activities.
Skills & Experience Essential
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience working on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
Experience within the renewable energy, HVAC, or heat pump sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
Full driving licence with willingness to travel.
Desirable
Knowledge of energy modelling and commercial building services.
Familiarity with quality management systems and health & safety standards.
