I am looking for a Quantity Surveyor for an established building contractor to work on projects in Leinster. Our client has a great reputation within the industry, and the successful candidate will gain practical experience in a busy, structured environment over a wide variety of disciplines. The role will be initially based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will directly report to and collaborate with the Contracts Manager, who has a proven track record in managing and delivering civil, structural, and architectural projects, and the Company Director, assisting them in driving the overall standards of the company. You will initially be supporting Project Managers in developing project costs and monitoring commercial aspects of their projects.
Responsibilities:
Pre-contract cost control, management, and document preparation.
All post contract functions including interim recommendations, cost reporting, Client meetings and final account reconciliations.
Estimating & Cost Planning.
Reporting to the senior surveyor.
Preparing Bills of Quantities, Cost Reports, Monthly Valuations, and Agreements of Final Accounts.
Proactively enhancing and improving the service delivered by the company.
Promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establishing exceptional working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion.
Requirements:
Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with 5 years' experience
Commercially aware and ambitious to progress within the industry.
Drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of projects, while working under pressure and within strict deadlines.
Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in IT with the ability to collate and generate detailed site reports.
Clean, full driving licence
