Urban Planner

Location: Ireland

Work Type: Permanent / Full Time

This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years' relevant planning experience in Ireland who is ready for greater project ownership, direct client exposure and the opportunity to broaden their experience across a diverse range of planning work.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll manage projects from initial client discussions through to planning submission and determination, with direct exposure to clients, planning authorities, public bodies and multidisciplinary project teams.
Irish planning experience: Essential for this role

You will be involved in:
  • Managing planning applications and projects from instruction through to completion

  • Liaising directly with clients, planning authorities, An Coimisiún Pleanála and other public bodies
  • Coordinating architects, engineers and specialist consultants
  • Preparing responses to Further Information and Clarification requests
  • Assisting with planning appeals, observations, Section 5 matters and zoning submissions
  • Advising clients on Irish planning policy, legislation and development plans
What We're Looking For
You will have:
  • 3+ years' relevant professional planning experience
  • Strong practical experience of the Irish planning system - essential
  • A relevant planning or related third-level qualification
  • Strong report-writing and communication skills
  • Confidence dealing directly with clients and planning authorities
  • The ability to manage your own projects and deadlines
  • An ambitious, proactive approach and desire to progress your career
Why Consider This Role?
This is particularly suited to an ambitious planner who wants more than a narrowly defined role in a large organisation.
You'll gain real project ownership, significant client exposure and involvement across the full planning process, while working closely with an experienced and supportive team.

If you're looking for a role where you can take on greater responsibility, broaden your planning experience and grow with a smaller team, we'd be very interested in hearing from you.
