An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Site Engineer to join a major residential development in
Kinsale, Co. Cork.
This role could be particularly attractive to an Engineer currently
living in Kinsale or West Cork and commuting into Cork City who would welcome the opportunity to work closer to home while still progressing their career on a substantial, high-quality residential project.
Our client is an
established residential developer with a strong track record of delivering quality homes and communities in Ireland. The successful candidate will join an experienced site team on a large residential development in Kinsale.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Foreman and wider construction team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day delivery of the development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and checking subcontractor works for accuracy
- Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet required standards
- Coordinating with site management, subcontractors and the design team
- Managing technical queries, RFIs and material approvals
- Assisting with the BCAR process, inspections and close-out of design-team observations
- Maintaining site records and site diaries
- Supporting procurement, purchase orders and checking deliveries
- Assisting with forward planning to ensure the programme remains on track
- Reviewing RAMS and assisting with permits for works
- Promoting and maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture on site.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum 2 years' Site Engineering / Site Management experience, ideally on residential projects
- Knowledge of current building regulations and HomeBond certification standards
- Strong setting-out and technical ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and responsibility for your work.
