Allsite Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Planning / Programme Manager to join a well-established and growing engineering contractor based in Arklow.
This is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing the planning and programming of multiple engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing and Site teams to ensure projects are effectively planned, monitored and delivered in line with agreed programmes and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and manage detailed project programmes from design through to completion.
Prepare master programmes, baseline schedules and short-term look-ahead programmes.
Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and identify potential delays or programme risks.
Carry out critical-path analysis and develop mitigation or recovery plans where required.
Coordinate programme requirements across Design, BIM, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Installation and Commissioning teams.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure programmes accurately reflect current project status and delivery requirements.
Monitor key dependencies including design information, procurement lead times, fabrication and site activities.
Produce weekly and monthly programme reports, progress updates and forecasts for management and clients.
Support programme impact assessments arising from design changes, variations or delays.
Assist Commercial and Project Management teams with programme records, delay analysis and contractual requirements.
Provide management with visibility of upcoming workload, resources and key project milestones.
Drive consistent planning standards and best practice across the business.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a Planning, Senior Planning or Programme Management role within engineering, construction, MEP or a similar project environment.
Strong experience managing complex and multi-disciplinary project programmes.
Good understanding of the complete project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction/installation, commissioning and handover.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
Good understanding of critical-path methodology, project controls and progress measurement.
Experience with programme recovery, delay analysis and change management would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline is desirable.
