Site Engineer - Portlaoise
Salary: €45,000 - €60,000 DOE + Benefits + Company Van
 
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their Portlaoise team on a landmark civic project for An Garda Síochána.
The project involves the refurbishment and expansion of an existing Garda station within a historic military fort, delivering a modern, high-security headquarters for the Laois-Offaly Division.
Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and day-to-day site engineering duties
• Managing site works in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
• Liaising with subcontractors, consultants, and project teams
• Maintaining accurate site records and QA documentation
• Overseeing BCAR compliance, quality, and health & safety
• Identifying and resolving technical site issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Engineer
• Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (or similar)
• Strong setting-out skills (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD)
• Experience on public, civic, or structural building projects
• Knowledge of BCAR, building regulations, and HSEQ
